History

Where We Started

The SF Solidarity Club was founded in 2026 by more than one hundred volunteers and staffers from Saikat Chakrabarti’s Congressional campaign alongside likeminded progressives.

Following that campaign, this community of activists continued volunteering on a weekly basis, phone banking for progressives throughout the country including Abdul El-Sayed, Melat Kiros, and more.

We then harnessed that energy to form this club in order to better shape the future of politics in San Francisco and the broader Bay Area, issuing dozens of endorsements, canvassing, phone banking, and providing mutual aid to community organizations.

The best is yet to come.
